About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Executive to join their respected law firm in Leeds . This role is integral to supporting the litigation and dispute resolution department, handling a significant caseload with minimal supervision. You will play a vital role in managing client communications, preparing legal documentation, and ensuring the efficient progression of cases through the legal system. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of litigation matters, including pre-action protocols, court proceedings, and settlement negotiations.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries, pleadings, and other court documents.
- Interview clients and witnesses, gathering evidence and preparing statements.
- Liaise effectively with clients, opposing parties, barristers, and court officials.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and client records.
- Assist senior solicitors with complex cases and provide administrative support as required.
Requirements
- Qualified Legal Executive (CILEX) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in handling civil litigation matters, preferably with experience in commercial disputes.
- Strong understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in using legal software and standard office applications.
- Strong client service ethos and excellent communication skills, with a commitment to professional integrity in Leeds .
