Job Overview
Owen Reed is looking for a Legal PA to join the Finance team within a top international law firm in London.
Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
9:30am – 5:30pm (flexibility required in line with business needs).
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal PA within a busy Finance practice of a leading international law firm. This role will support a small group of Partners and fee earners, and the Legal PA will be responsible for delivering high‑level administrative, organisational and financial support. The Legal PA will play a key role in managing demanding workloads during financial close periods, and will ensure the smooth running of Partner practices at all times. The Legal PA will operate in a fast‑paced, detail‑focused environment, and will be expected to demonstrate strong initiative, accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing complex diaries, meetings and schedules for Partners.
- Coordinating travel arrangements including itineraries, accommodation and visas.
- Supporting matter opening, client onboarding and compliance checks.
- Managing inboxes and prioritising urgent correspondence on behalf of Partners.
- Producing, formatting and proofreading legal documents and presentations.
- Coordinating billing processes, WIP management and financial reporting tasks.
- Supporting credit control activities including chasing outstanding invoices.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems such as InterAction.
- Supporting business development activity including events and client meetings.
- Attending meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions.Liaising with internal teams including Finance, Marketing and BD.
- Providing wider administrative and team support as required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working as a Legal PA within a law firm.
- Strong exposure to Finance, billing or financial management processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Outlook essential; Excel and PowerPoint advantageous).
- Excellent written English, grammar and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Confident communicator with a professional and proactive approach.
- Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
