An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant to join a growing Dispute Resolution team based in Worcester.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators, including a Partner, supporting a varied caseload spanning civil litigation, debt recovery and employment matters. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department while delivering a high standard of client service.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Opening, maintaining and closing client files
• Onboarding new clients and carrying out compliance and due diligence checks
• Audio and copy typing correspondence and legal documents
• Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls and taking messages
• Assisting clients with queries and providing administrative support
• Diary management and organising appointments
• Processing accounts-related procedures
• Liaising with courts, tribunals, barristers, experts and other third parties
• Preparing court and Employment Tribunal documentation
• Printing, scanning, filing and general administrative support

The successful candidate will have previous legal support experience, ideally within a Dispute Resolution, Litigation or Employment Law environment. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload are essential.

You should possess:

• Previous legal secretarial or legal assistant experience
• Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• Strong audio typing and IT skills
• A proactive and organised approach to work
• The ability to work effectively within a busy team environment
• Excellent client care skills
