The Company hiring a Legal Technology & Innovation Manager

A well-established UK law firm with a firm-wide commitment to technology is looking to strengthen its Tech, Transformation & Innovation function. The firm has invested significantly in emerging technology, automation and digital tools to enhance how legal services are delivered to clients, and innovation sits close to the heart of its strategy. This is a genuine opportunity to shape how a forward-thinking legal business adopts new ways of working, with strong senior backing and real scope to influence change.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify innovation opportunities - Work with legal and business teams across the firm to surface challenges and recommend technology-led solutions that improve efficiency.

• Shape and prioritise initiatives - Assess new ideas and opportunities by impact and value, then make recommendations on which innovation initiatives to progress.

• Lead pilot projects - Own trials of new technology from planning and stakeholder buy-in through to testing, evaluation and firm-wide rollout.

• Evaluate emerging technology - Research and assess developments in AI, automation and legal platforms, working with suppliers to test commercial and strategic fit.

• Drive adoption and engagement - Bridge legal and technical teams, translate strategy into action, and lead training to embed lasting change across the business.

Skills & Attributes

• Legal technology knowledge - Strong familiarity with legal technology platforms, workflow automation and Microsoft/Power Platform tools, with genuine interest in AI's legal applications.

• Project and change management - Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives at once, with strong organisation and attention to detail throughout delivery.

• Professional services background - A track record in innovation, technology, project management or consultancy roles, ideally within legal or professional services.

• Confident communicator - Outstanding written and verbal skills, comfortable bridging legal and technical audiences and influencing senior stakeholders.

• Resilient and resourceful - Comfortable navigating ambiguity, building cross-functional partnerships and pushing initiatives through obstacles.
