Leisure Centre Attendant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a friendly and responsible Leisure Centre Attendant to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all centre users, maintaining facilities, and providing excellent customer service. This hands-on role requires a proactive attitude and a willingness to assist members across various areas of the leisure centre, contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safe use of the gym, swimming pool, and other recreational facilities.
• Conduct regular safety checks, respond to emergencies, and administer basic first aid as required.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of all areas within the leisure centre, including changing rooms and activity spaces.
• Assist centre users with enquiries, membership sign-ups, and general information.
• Operate the reception desk, including handling bookings and processing payments.
• Undertake basic maintenance tasks and report any faults or issues promptly to the management.
• Support with the setup and takedown of equipment for activities and events.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service or supervisory role is advantageous.
• First Aid and CPR certification is essential (or willingness to obtain).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, in Stoke-on-Trent .
