About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Leisure Centre Manager to take charge of a bustling community leisure facility in Manchester . This senior position involves overseeing all operational aspects, including staff management, budget control, customer service, health and safety compliance, and program development. You will be responsible for driving membership growth, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining the centre's reputation as a leading provider of recreational activities. The successful candidate will be a motivated leader with a passion for fitness, sports, and community engagement, fostering a welcoming and efficient environment for all users.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the leisure centre, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of staff, including reception, fitness instructors, and lifeguards.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to increase membership, revenue, and program participation.
• Oversee budget management, financial reporting, and cost control measures.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Develop and manage a diverse range of fitness classes, sports activities, and community programs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in managing a leisure centre or a similar fitness/leisure facility.
• Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record in sales, marketing, and budget management within the leisure industry.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to leisure facilities.
• Relevant qualifications in leisure management, business, or a related field.
