Leisure Centre Operations Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leisure Centre Operations Supervisor to support the management team in Derby . You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe day-to-day running of the centre, supervising staff, and assisting with customer service excellence. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle a variety of operational tasks, respond to customer needs, and contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise front-line staff, ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
• Assist in managing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure all areas of the centre are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Respond to customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively.
• Support the Duty Manager in implementing centre policies and procedures.
• Assist with stocktaking and inventory management for operational supplies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service or supervisory role, preferably in leisure or hospitality.
• Strong understanding of health and safety principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and motivate others.
• Basic IT proficiency, including experience with scheduling software is a plus.
