Start Date: September 2026
Hours: 39 weeks per year (Term Time Only + 5 Training Days)
Pay: £95–£110 per day (depending on experience)

Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Middlesbrough for a dedicated Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September.

The Role

• Support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Deliver engaging learning activities alongside the class teacher.
• Promote children's learning, independence and personal development.
• Support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEND.
• Help create a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Holds a Level 2 Early Years specific qualification .
• Has successful experience working within an Early Years setting.
• Is reliable, adaptable and proactive.
• Has a positive attitude and uses their own initiative.
• Is caring, compassionate and passionate about making a difference.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Is highly organised and committed to providing outstanding support for young learners.

Essential Requirements

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service , or willingness to apply and pay for a new DBS.
• Contactable professional references covering recent employment.
• Right to work in the UK.
