Milk Education is recruiting Level 2+ Qualified Teaching Assistants to work across welcoming Primary Schools in Durham from September 2026.

We're looking for passionate and reliable TAs who are ready to use their skills and experience to support pupils, work alongside teachers and make a genuine difference every day.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Supporting pupils with reading, writing and maths.
• Delivering interventions and targeted learning activities.
• Supporting children with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning habits.
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Assisting with creative and practical classroom activities.
• Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

What We're Looking For

• Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant / Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification .
• Previous experience working with children in a school or education setting.
• Experience supporting SEND is desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, positive and professional approach.
• Ability to adapt support to individual pupil needs.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a wider school team.
• Reliable and available for school-based work.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
