ABOUT THE NURSERY
Prospero Teaching is looking for a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Assistant for a welcoming and nurturing nursery setting in Clapham, South West London.
This friendly and welcoming nursery in Clapham, South West London provides high-quality early years education in a safe and nurturing environment. The successful Level 3 Qualified Nursery Assistant will join a supportive team, helping to deliver engaging activities and promote children's learning and development.
The position is open to experienced Level 3 (or above) Early Years professionals and offers a full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential for a permanent position.
POSITION DETAILS
- Location - Clapham, South West London
- Position - Level 3 Qualified Nursery Assistant
- Type of work - Supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing through play-based activities, observations, and daily care routines
- Contract or position start date - September 2026
- Full time/part time - Full Time
- Rate of pay - GBP125 - GBP130 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
- Hours - Monday to Friday, shifts between 09:00am to 17:00pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Level 3 Early Years Educator, Childcare Qualification, or above (essential)
- Previous experience working as a Nursery Assistant, Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, or in a similar childcare setting
- Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year is desirable (training can be provided where required)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional childcare-related references covering at least the last two years
