Leveraged Finance / Debt Finance Lawyer - Interim

Altern8 Legal is looking to speak with experienced leveraged and debt finance lawyers regarding a senior interim engagement with a leading US law firm in London.

The firm is looking to add experienced transactional capacity to its finance practice for an initial 6 months or more, with the opportunity to work on sophisticated domestic and cross-border financing matters.

The opportunity

We are particularly interested in lawyers with strong experience across leveraged finance, acquisition finance, and related debt financing transactions.

Relevant backgrounds could include sponsor or lender-side leveraged finance, private credit/direct lending, refinancings, restructurings or other complex secured financing work.

You will ideally have trained and/or practised within a leading UK, US or international law firm and be comfortable working directly with Partners and clients while remaining hands‑on with transaction execution.

The target level is approximately 5–8 PQE, although we are happy to consider closely aligned lawyers either side of this range where the experience is particularly relevant.

The engagement

Duration: Initially 6 months+, with potential to extend

Commitment: full‑time with scope for flexibility

Location: London hybrid, with some office attendance expected

Rate: Highly competitive
