LGV Class 2 Driver - Local Deliveries

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dependable LGV Class 2 Driver to join their operations team in Stoke-on-Trent . This position involves making local deliveries, often to businesses and retail outlets, requiring efficient route planning and excellent driving skills. You will be responsible for the safe transport and delivery of goods, ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable service. This role is perfect for a driver who prefers regular routes and enjoys being part of a local, community-focused business based in Stoke-on-Trent , contributing to the reliable supply of essential goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an LGV Class 2 vehicle to deliver products to various customer sites.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, adhering to scheduled routes and time windows.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, with some manual handling required.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects.
• Maintain clear communication with the dispatch team and customers.
• Comply with all road traffic laws, company policies, and Health & Safety regulations.

Requirements

• Valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license.
• A current Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Previous experience driving LGV Class 2 vehicles.
• Good geographical knowledge of the Stoke-on-Trent area.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of work.
