Litigation Solicitor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Litigation Solicitor to join their busy legal team in Liverpool . This is an office-based position, ideal for a lawyer who thrives on team collaboration and direct engagement with colleagues and clients. You will manage a diverse portfolio of contentious matters, from initial case assessment through to resolution, whether by settlement or trial. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to develop your litigation expertise within a supportive and professional environment. You will be responsible for advocating for the company's interests, managing risk, and contributing to the overall success of the legal department.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of litigation, including pre-action correspondence, drafting statements of case, and disclosure.
• Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive case analysis and strategy.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Advise on the merits of claims and potential liabilities.
• Liaise with clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses to gather evidence.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of 3 years' experience in litigation .
• Proven experience in handling commercial disputes or a specific area of civil litigation.
• Strong understanding of Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and evidence law.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Commitment to working in an office-based role in Liverpool .
