About the Role

Our client is seeking a professional and safety-conscious Local Bus Driver to operate routes within Wolverhampton and its surrounding areas. This role is vital for providing reliable public transportation to the community. You will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, adhering to schedules, and ensuring a comfortable and secure journey for everyone on board. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of public transport operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate buses safely and punctually on designated routes within the Wolverhampton area.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers at all times, assisting with boarding and alighting when necessary.
• Conduct pre-departure vehicle checks to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Maintain accurate records of journeys, passenger numbers, and any incidents.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering passenger queries and maintaining a polite demeanor.
• Adhere to all driving regulations, company policies, and public transport laws.

Requirements

• A valid UK Driving Licence with a Category D (Bus) entitlement.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A clean driving record and a satisfactory background check.
• Proven experience driving larger passenger vehicles.
• Excellent knowledge of the local road network and traffic patterns.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer care.
