Local Democracy Reporter – Hold Councils to Account (Home-based)

Newsquest's Local Democracy Reporting Service is seeking a Local Democracy Reporter to cover the Calderdale patch from home, with in-person/online meetings as required. You will report on Calderdale Council and other democratic bodies, breaking stories that inform local communities while upholding accuracy and clarity.

Reporting to the West Yorkshire team, you will identify engaging local stories, attend meetings (including evenings), and help set the local news agenda.
