About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly organized and efficient Logistics Administrator to support their operations in Bristol , working a hybrid schedule. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of information and documentation within the logistics department. You will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, including processing orders, managing shipping documentation, and liaising with carriers and internal teams. The ideal candidate is meticulous, possesses strong communication skills, and thrives in a supportive administrative role.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage logistics orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
- Schedule transportation and coordinate with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate with internal departments, carriers, and customers regarding shipment status and any issues.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for all logistics-related documents.
- Assist with data entry and reporting related to logistics operations and performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within logistics or supply chain.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with logistics software or ERP systems is a plus.
