About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and organised Logistics Administrator to support their operations in Reading . This hybrid role involves managing and coordinating essential administrative tasks that ensure the smooth running of logistics and supply chain processes. You will be responsible for data entry, documentation management, communication with carriers and stakeholders, and assisting with the resolution of logistical queries. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple administrative duties efficiently, balancing work between the office and remote settings to support the logistics team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage shipping documentation, including manifests, bills of lading, and delivery notes.
- Enter and maintain accurate logistics data in the company's database and ERP systems.
- Coordinate communication between internal departments, carriers, and clients regarding shipment status and inquiries.
- Assist in tracking shipments and resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Prepare reports on logistics activities, such as transit times, costs, and delivery performance.
- Provide administrative support to the logistics and supply chain management team as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Administrative role, preferably within a Logistics or supply chain environment.
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with ERP/WMS systems is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model, adapting to both remote and in-office duties in Reading .
