About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly organized Logistics Administrator to support their operations remotely, based near Derby . This role involves managing administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. You will be the key point of contact for coordinating with carriers, updating tracking information, and resolving logistical queries. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong command of administrative software to ensure the smooth functioning of the logistics department from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all administrative aspects of inbound and outbound logistics.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, invoices, and delivery confirmations.
- Coordinate with transport providers to schedule collections and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments and inventory in the system.
- Respond to customer and internal inquiries regarding shipment status and logistics issues.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with logistics software or ERP systems is an advantage.
