About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Logistics & Distribution Manager to oversee and optimize their supply chain operations in Bristol . This senior role demands a leader with a comprehensive understanding of warehousing, transportation, and inventory management, tasked with ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods from procurement to final delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage logistics and distribution strategies to meet business objectives.
• Oversee daily operations of the warehouse and transportation functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage inventory levels, optimize stock placement, and implement robust control measures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics and warehouse teams to achieve high performance.
• Negotiate with carriers and suppliers to secure favourable rates and service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics and distribution management.
• Proven track record in optimizing supply chain operations and reducing costs.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and WMS/TMS systems.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and performance metric reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
