Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator & Delivery Specialist to join their operations in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK . This role involves managing the day-to-day coordination of delivery schedules, ensuring efficient routing, and directly participating in deliveries when required. You will play a crucial part in optimizing delivery performance and maintaining excellent client relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule delivery routes for a fleet of vehicles, optimizing for time and fuel efficiency.
- Liaise with customers to confirm delivery details and manage expectations.
- Monitor driver progress and provide real-time support and adjustments as needed.
- Handle documentation related to deliveries, including proof of delivery and inventory records.
- Perform direct deliveries, ensuring goods are transported safely and arrive in excellent condition.
- Assist in managing fleet maintenance schedules and driver compliance.
Requirements
- Experience in logistics coordination, dispatching, or a similar transport role.
- A valid UK driving license, with a clean driving record.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Birmingham and the surrounding West Midlands area.
- Proficiency in using route optimization software and GPS technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
