Logistics Coordinator - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and efficient Logistics Coordinator to manage the transportation and delivery of their products from their Plymouth hub. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and timely movement of goods within the FMCG supply chain . You will coordinate with carriers, track shipments, and resolve any logistical issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries and collections, ensuring optimal route planning.
• Track shipments from dispatch to delivery, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and negotiate rates where applicable.
• Resolve logistical challenges, such as delays or damaged goods, efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistical activities, including shipment details and costs.
• Liaise with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in logistics, transport coordination, or a similar role, preferably in FMCG .
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with the Plymouth area and transport networks is a plus.
