About the Role

Our client requires a dedicated Logistics Coordinator with an HGV driving qualification to join their operations in Birmingham . This multifaceted role combines direct transportation responsibilities with essential coordination duties, ensuring the seamless flow of goods from pickup to final destination. You will be pivotal in managing schedules, optimizing routes, and ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations, playing a crucial part in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our client's supply chain network throughout the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) for the collection and delivery of goods across the UK.
• Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules, optimizing routes for maximum efficiency and timely arrivals.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with clients, warehouse staff, and management regarding shipment status and potential delays.
• Ensure all logistics operations comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Conduct routine checks on HGV vehicles, reporting any defects or required maintenance.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving license.
• Full CPC card and Digi-card.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HGV driving and logistics coordination.
• Proven ability to manage complex delivery schedules and navigate challenging routes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping.
