Logistics Coordinator (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Logistics Coordinator to join their fully remote team, supporting their operations based in Manchester . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, managing shipping schedules, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products. You will act as a key point of contact for carriers, suppliers, and internal teams, troubleshooting issues and optimizing logistical workflows. This position is perfect for an individual who thrives in a remote setting, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a keen eye for detail in managing complex logistical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments from origin to destination, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and carriers.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and import/export paperwork.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock management.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners regarding shipment status and logistics issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve shipping routes, reduce transit times, and minimize logistics costs.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role within the transportation or supply chain industry.
• Familiarity with shipping procedures, documentation, and logistics software .
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using standard office software and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail.
