About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join their vibrant team in Birmingham . In this role, you will play a key part in the smooth execution of transportation and delivery schedules, ensuring that goods move efficiently from origin to destination. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, monitoring shipments, and resolving any logistical challenges that arise. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound logistics activities, including scheduling pickups and deliveries.
• Track shipments in real-time, providing timely updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Communicate effectively with transportation providers, suppliers, and warehouse personnel to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Assist in optimizing shipping routes and transportation costs where possible.
• Prepare reports on logistics performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics , dispatch, or transportation coordination role.
• Familiarity with shipping regulations and documentation processes.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a plus.
