About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organised Logistics Coordinator to manage their transportation operations remotely, with a focus on serving the Brighton area. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from origin to destination. You will be responsible for coordinating with drivers, tracking shipments, managing documentation, and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise. The ideal candidate will be adept at using logistics software and possess excellent communication skills to maintain seamless operations in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics operations, including scheduling pickups and deliveries.
• Track shipments in real-time using logistics software and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, bills of lading, and customs forms as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues, such as delays or damaged goods, promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities and prepare performance reports.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics or supply chain role is essential.
• Proficiency with transport management systems (TMS) and other relevant logistics software.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting .
• Familiarity with the Brighton region's transportation network is a plus.
