Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Logistics Coordinator to manage the daily flow of goods and services within their Leeds -based operations. This on-site role is crucial for ensuring the timely and efficient movement of inventory, from receiving to dispatch. You will be the central point of contact for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve logistical challenges and maintain smooth operations. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to schedules.
• Manage inventory levels and perform regular stock counts to maintain accuracy.
• Liaise with carriers and transport providers to arrange collections and deliveries, negotiating rates where applicable.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
• Resolve any logistical issues or discrepancies that may arise, such as delays or damages.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities using company systems and databases.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Logistics Coordinator or similar administrative role within a warehouse or distribution setting.
• Strong understanding of shipping procedures, inventory management, and transportation regulations.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further qualification in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
