About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and organized Logistics Coordinator to join their bustling team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth flow of goods from origin to destination, coordinating with carriers, suppliers, and customers. You will play a crucial part in optimizing transportation routes, managing shipping documentation, and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise. The successful candidate will be adept at multitasking and possess excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders in the supply chain, contributing to the overall efficiency of the logistics network.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to schedules.
• Manage communication with shipping carriers , freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing warehouse stock.
• Resolve any logistical issues or delays promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of all transportation and logistics activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics or supply chain role is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and documentation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
