Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their busy team in Newcastle upon Tyne . In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of daily logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods from origin to destination. You will work closely with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to manage shipments, track progress, and resolve any issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Track shipments, monitor delivery progress, and proactively address any delays or discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal departments regarding shipment status and requirements.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities within the company's tracking systems.
• Assist in resolving shipping-related issues, such as damaged goods, lost shipments, or incorrect documentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics coordination or similar administrative role.
• Familiarity with shipping procedures, transportation modes, and common logistics terminology.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting based in Newcastle upon Tyne .
