About the Role
Our client requires a diligent and organised Logistics Coordinator to manage the efficient movement of FMCG products within their operations based in Plymouth . This role is essential for ensuring timely deliveries, optimising transportation routes, and managing inventory across the supply chain. You will liaise with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse teams to coordinate shipments and resolve any logistical issues that arise. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of logistics operations, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, operational environment, contributing to the smooth functioning of the supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all inbound and outbound logistics activities for FMCG products.
- Schedule and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
- Liaise with transportation providers, negotiating rates and ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations, including shipping documents and inventory levels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any logistical issues or delays that may occur.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure efficient storage and dispatch of goods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Logistics Coordinator or similar role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, transportation, and warehouse management.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office Suite.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
