Job Description
Logistics Coordinator– Dunfermline
I'm working with a growing international business looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to their team. This is a brilliant opportunity to own consignments end to end, build relationships with carriers, and keep supply chains moving across the UK, EU, and worldwide.
Graduates take note: if you've had exposure to logistics, supply chain, or procurement through university placements or projects, this could be exactly the springboard you're looking for. You'll be reporting into a Logistics Manager who is a brilliant mentor, someone who invests in developing the people in his team.
What you'll be doing
Owning consignments end to end, from dispatch through to customer delivery
Tracking shipments and managing exceptions, making sure everything is logged, communicated, and followed up
Building strong partnerships with carriers and suppliers
Working closely with internal teams: sales, warehouse, IT, and accounts
Helping establish SLAs with internal stakeholders
Preparing shipping and basic customs documentation
Supporting the wider logistics team day to day
What we're looking for
Strong analytical skills, confident using data to spot problems and solve them
Strong Excel (formulas, lookups, pivots; macros/VBA a bonus)
Comfortable with freight costs and KPI reporting
Organised, detail driven, and able to juggle multiple tasks
A clear communicator, confident at all levels
Proactive, happy with autonomy, and enjoys suggesting improvements
Nice to have
Exposure to logistics, supply chain, or procurement (uni, placements, or work)
ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) or freight software
Basic knowledge of international shipping and freight terminology
This role would really suit someone who wants to build a career in logistics, gain global exposure, and learn from a supportive team and a manager who continually develops people.
