About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Newcastle upon Tyne . In this role, you will be responsible for managing the efficient movement of goods, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely delivery to meet client needs. You will play a crucial part in maintaining smooth supply chain operations, working closely with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve any logistical challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Liaise with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to negotiate rates and optimize transit times.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
• Monitor inventory levels and proactively address any discrepancies or potential stock-outs.
• Resolve delivery issues and customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities within the company's system.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role within the logistics sector.
• Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, transportation modes, and customs regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
