About the Role
Our client is looking for a strategic and experienced Logistics Manager to lead their logistics operations in Oxford, Oxfordshire . This senior role is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the company's overall logistics strategy to optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. You will oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Based on-site in Oxford , you will have direct oversight of the operational infrastructure and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and achieve business objectives, playing a critical role in the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's logistics strategy to align with business goals.
- Manage and optimize all transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Oversee inventory management to ensure accuracy and minimize costs.
- Negotiate with carriers and suppliers to secure favorable rates and service agreements.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs ) for logistics operations.
- Lead and develop the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a senior Logistics Manager or equivalent role.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful logistics strategies.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, transportation, and warehouse operations.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
