Logistics Network Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and analytical Logistics Network Planner to join their remote team, based from Wolverhampton . This role is integral to designing, optimising, and managing the company's supply chain and distribution network. You will analyse complex logistics data, develop network models, and recommend strategic decisions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a seasoned planner to make a significant impact on a global scale, working autonomously and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimise the company's end-to-end logistics and distribution network.
• Utilise advanced modelling and simulation tools to evaluate network scenarios and identify optimal solutions.
• Analyse transportation costs, transit times, and service levels to recommend improvements.
• Develop strategic plans for warehouse locations, capacity, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and commercial teams to align network strategies with business goals.
• Monitor network performance and provide regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations.

Requirements

• Significant experience in logistics network design, planning, or optimisation.
• Proficiency in network modelling software (e.g., Llamasoft, AnyLogic) and advanced analytical techniques.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, transportation modes, and warehousing operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field.
