Logistics Operations Lead

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic Logistics Operations Lead to join their growing team in Edinburgh . This role primarily focuses on optimizing the flow of goods, coordinating transportation, and managing relationships with logistics partners. While the role is based in Edinburgh, this position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a balance between collaborative in-office work and focused remote execution. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations, playing a key part in delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily logistics operations, including shipment scheduling and tracking.
• Manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers, negotiating rates and service levels.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock management.
• Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Support the development and implementation of new logistics strategies and technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics operations or a similar supply chain role.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, shipping regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in a hybrid or remote setting is advantageous.
