Logistics Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and results-driven Logistics Operations Manager to oversee their operations in Norwich . This senior role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's logistics, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory control, to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will lead a team of logistics professionals, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize supply chain performance and reduce costs.
• Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage transportation operations, including carrier selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
• Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems and processes to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including health and safety standards, and manage risk effectively.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior logistics management or operations role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse and transportation operations.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site responsibilities with remote tasks.
