Logistics Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Manager to lead and optimize their logistics functions in Liverpool . This role is responsible for the efficient management of all transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. You will play a key role in developing logistics strategies, managing carrier relationships, and implementing best practices to enhance supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and other logistics software.
• Lead and develop the logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in logistics management , with demonstrated success in operational oversight.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, warehousing operations, and supply chain principles.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and negotiate with logistics providers.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with WMS and TMS software is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
