About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Logistics Operations Manager to lead their key distribution hub in Nottingham . This senior role is responsible for the overall performance and efficiency of all warehouse and transportation operations, ensuring seamless integration of supply chain activities. You will drive operational excellence by implementing best practices, optimizing resource allocation, and leading a dedicated team to achieve ambitious targets. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and dispatch.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Manage and lead a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, carriers, and stakeholders to optimize the supply chain.
- Utilize data analytics and KPIs to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive data-informed decision-making.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in logistics operations management , with a strong track record of success.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing large teams.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and supply chain best practices.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
