About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Operations Specialist to join their team in Leeds . This role is integral to managing the flow of goods, coordinating transport, and ensuring the efficiency of the supply chain. You will work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams to streamline operations and resolve any logistical challenges. This hybrid role offers a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute effectively to the team's success while maintaining a degree of autonomy. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of logistics principles.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage daily transportation and delivery schedules for the company's fleet.
Monitor shipment progress, identify potential delays, and implement proactive solutions.
Liaise with drivers, warehouse personnel, and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and operational costs.
Assist in the development and implementation of new logistics strategies and technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in a logistics, supply chain, or operations role.
Proficiency with logistics software and standard office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork.
Ability to adapt to a hybrid work model, balancing office presence with remote work days.
