About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Logistics Operations Specialist to join their team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day logistics activities. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and liaising with carriers and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. While the role is based in Southampton , there is potential for a hybrid or remote arrangement for the right candidate, focusing on operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of shipments, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and customers to resolve any logistical issues.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates on delivery status to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities and update the company's transportation management system (TMS).
• Assist in the management of inventory levels and warehouse organization.

Requirements

• Experience in a logistics or transportation coordination role.
• Familiarity with shipping procedures and documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using relevant software, including TMS and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
