Logistics Operative & Delivery Driver

About the Role

Our client is looking for an energetic and dependable Logistics Operative & Delivery Driver to join their busy distribution hub in Birmingham . This dual role involves not only the critical function of delivering goods to various business locations but also contributing to the smooth operation of the warehouse. You will play a vital part in the supply chain, ensuring products reach their destinations efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate will be adept at both driving safely and performing warehouse duties, supporting a team dedicated to operational excellence in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct deliveries and collections of goods throughout the Birmingham region and surrounding areas.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring goods are secured.
• Assist with warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and inventory management.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and report any discrepancies or issues.
• Ensure company vehicles are kept clean, well-maintained, and are in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• A full, clean UK driving license, preferably with experience driving commercial vehicles.
• Previous experience in a delivery driver or warehouse operative role.
• Good knowledge of the Birmingham and West Midlands road network.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying goods.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
