About the Role

Our client is looking for an organised and dependable Logistics Operative and Van Driver to support their operations in Coventry . This dual role involves both warehouse duties and driving responsibilities, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receipt to dispatch. You will be instrumental in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely deliveries to our business partners. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, enjoys a varied workload, and is committed to operational excellence within a busy warehouse and distribution setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a company van for the timely and safe delivery of goods to various business locations.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care.
• Organise and maintain inventory within the warehouse, including stocktaking and order picking.
• Use warehouse management systems to track stock movements and update records.
• Inspect the van daily for operational safety and cleanliness, reporting any defects.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams to resolve any delivery or stock discrepancies.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points.
• Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting.
• Good working knowledge of Coventry and the surrounding West Midlands area.
• Proficiency in basic IT skills for record-keeping and system updates.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
