About the Role

Our client requires a diligent Logistics Operative & Van Driver to support operations in Coventry . This dual-role position involves both warehouse duties and the transportation of goods. You will play a key part in the efficient handling and dispatch of items, ensuring that all logistics processes run smoothly and customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. The successful candidate will be proactive, organised, and committed to maintaining high standards of operational efficiency within the warehouse and on the road, contributing to a team that values precision and reliability in all its functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a company van to transport goods to various destinations within the Coventry area.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles and managing inventory within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and stock levels.
• Adhere to strict health and safety regulations in both warehouse and driving activities.
• Communicate effectively with the logistics team and customers regarding delivery status and schedules.
• Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues.

Requirements

• Full UK driving license with a good driving history.
• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, coupled with driving experience.
• Familiarity with the Coventry region and surrounding transport networks.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving goods.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping.
