About the Role

Our client requires a versatile and dependable Logistics Operative to manage delivery operations based in Oxford . This role involves the physical handling and transportation of goods, ensuring they reach their destinations safely and on time. You will be an integral part of the logistics chain, responsible for both driving and operational support within a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a valid driving license, and the ability to manage tasks efficiently, contributing to the smooth running of deliveries throughout Oxfordshire and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to deliver goods to customers, ensuring timely arrival.
• Load and unload items carefully, checking for damage and ensuring correct quantities.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures.
• Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle and report any maintenance requirements.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving license (Category B).
• Previous experience in a logistics or delivery role is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Oxford and the surrounding areas.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy items.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
