Logistics Operative - Night Shift

About the Role

Our client requires a dedicated Logistics Operative to work the night shift in their busy distribution centre in Sheffield . You will be responsible for various tasks including receiving, sorting, and dispatching goods, ensuring the efficient processing of inventory overnight. This role is vital for maintaining the company's operational flow, requiring individuals who are proactive, reliable, and comfortable working independently during night hours. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring all orders are ready for onward distribution by morning, playing a critical part in the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and sort incoming shipments accurately.
• Pick and pack orders for dispatch according to order sheets.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks safely.
• Load outgoing vehicles efficiently and securely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse premises.
• Conduct stock takes and report inventory levels.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively during night shifts.
• Physical capability to handle manual tasks and lift goods.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
