Logistics Operative

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and physically capable Logistics Operative to join their busy warehouse team in Reading . This is an on-site role where you will be directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. You will be responsible for handling goods, managing stock, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the facility. The ideal candidate is reliable, a team player, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and put away incoming stock accurately.
• Pick and pack orders according to specified requirements, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles efficiently and safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management tasks.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if certified).

Requirements

• Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving goods.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic, committed to being on-site in Reading .
