Logistics Operative

About the Role

Our client is seeking reliable and hardworking Logistics Operatives to join their busy warehouse facility in Glasgow . In this hands-on role, you will be involved in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving goods, order picking and packing, and dispatching shipments. You will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure that all logistical processes are carried out efficiently and accurately, contributing to the smooth running of the supply chain. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, possess a strong work ethic, and have a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed. This is a crucial role in supporting our client's distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods accurately.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to specified requirements.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as required.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles efficiently and carefully.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
