Logistics Operative

About the Role

Our client is looking for an efficient and detail-oriented Logistics Operative to support their warehouse and distribution operations in Cardiff . This part-time role involves a mix of on-site warehouse duties and remote administrative tasks, offering a flexible working arrangement. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving and dispatching to inventory management. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, possesses strong manual dexterity, and can contribute to maintaining high standards of operational efficiency within the logistics framework in Wales .

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments accurately.
• Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for dispatch according to specifications.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock checks.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and scanning devices safely and effectively.
• Assist with the organization and tidiness of warehouse storage areas.
• Perform administrative tasks related to logistics documentation and communication remotely.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills for remote tasks.
• Ability to lift and move moderately heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Availability for flexible working hours, including some on-site presence in Cardiff .
