Logistics Planner - Berkshire Region

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join their operations team in Reading . This hybrid role involves planning and coordinating transportation schedules, optimizing delivery routes, and managing the flow of goods to ensure maximum efficiency across the Berkshire region. You will work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams to facilitate seamless operations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop efficient and cost-effective delivery routes for drivers in the Reading area and beyond.
• Schedule and coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs.
• Utilize route optimization software and other logistics tools to enhance planning.
• Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory management and dispatch processes.
• Monitor delivery progress and proactively address any potential delays or issues.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends and recommend improvements to operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics planning or coordination role.
• Proficiency with route planning software and transportation management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both remotely and on-site in Reading .
• A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
