About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join their team, working a hybrid schedule based in Edinburgh . This role is central to designing and optimizing the transportation and distribution strategies that keep the supply chain moving efficiently. You will analyze logistics data, plan optimal routes, and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute efficient logistics and transportation plans to meet business needs.
• Analyze transportation data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve delivery performance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring smooth execution.
• Optimize routing and load planning to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times and costs.
• Monitor shipments, proactively address potential disruptions, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with warehouse operations and customer service to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics.

Requirements

• Experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, routing principles, and logistics software.
• Proficiency in data analysis and Excel for planning and performance tracking.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid model.
