Logistics Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Logistics Planner to join their team in Brighton . This role is crucial for optimizing transportation routes, managing delivery schedules, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. You will work closely with the warehouse team, carriers, and customers to coordinate logistical activities and resolve any transportation-related issues. The ideal candidate will possess excellent planning skills, a strong understanding of logistics operations, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily transportation activities to optimize delivery routes and times.
• Coordinate with carriers to book shipments and ensure timely collection and delivery of goods.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Manage logistics documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve transport efficiency and reduce costs.
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure goods are prepared and ready for dispatch.

Requirements

• Previous experience in logistics planning, transport coordination, or a similar role.
• Good understanding of transportation management systems (TMS) and route planning software.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model, balancing office and remote tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
